Grilled oysters couldn't be easier to prepare, and make a great holiday appetizer highlighting local seafood. Fire up your grill!
Sea State Classic Grilled Oysters
Place oysters cup side down directly on hot grill. Close grill and check every few minutes until they've just slightly cracked open.
Remove oysters from the grill to a plate until they are cool enough to handle.
Using a knife, remove the top shell carefully so you don't spill the liquor. Slice along the top shell to free it, then slide under the cup shell so the oyster is loose in it's shell.
Add a GENEROUS spoonful of our Herb garlic butter, or make your own by mashing roasted garlic and herbs into high-quality butter with a fork. Place back on grill.
Cook on open grill until bubbling, just about a minute or so.
